New Era Materials readily decided to help medical services directly to protect their health by designing a scalable face shield solution optimised for additive technologies.

Our Additive Manufacturing division, thanks to the 3d printing powder bed technologies used every day is capable of producing around 1000 sets of face shields in one SLS production process with PA2200 (PA12) material.

By adjusting the design to easily available additional materials (PET films, A4 office films, rubber bands), we have created a universal and more importantly cheap and scalable solution.

The following design is available for use on a non-profit basis (licence CC BY NC) to anyone who can help in this difficult time.
