ARTICLE: "Prepregs based on epoxy resin as a repair material for wind turbine blades"
Alternative materials for repair systems of wind turbine blades
The article shows our R&D findings on alternative materials for repair systems of wind turbine blades. The repair unit from structrepair GmbH causes a significant reduction in repair time due to short time curing of the prepreg, while extending repair SEASON during unfavorable weather conditions.
Preview in English:
Epoxy resin prepregs were stored for 9–90 days at room temp. and then studied for reactivity as well as thermal and mech. properties. Reactivity changes were obsd. by DSC anal. and viscosity changes during dynamic tests. Crosslinked laminates were also obtained after the same storage times. Thermal and mech. properties were detd. by DMA and static tensile tests, resp. Adhesion was detd. by in-house field test by using 6 prepreg layers. The reactivity decreased during the storage, esp. between 13. and 23. days but without any significant effect on thermal resistance and mech. strength.
